On March 14th, WHHS College and Career Coach, DJ Stacey, took several students to the SEARK College Preview Day. Students were introduced to numerous programs and engaged in hands-on activities.
WHHS Survey of Business classes went to visit Pinnacle State Park yesterday! We were able to talk to two park interpreters and an employee from the Department of Tourism. It was a beautiful day to enjoy our beautiful state.
The WHHS student ambassadors recently volunteered at the Arkansas Food Bank in Little Rock. The student ambassadors are sponsored by Leslie Mitchell and Brooke Doggett.

Today WHHS teachers were visited by Dr. John Edwards who treated staff to donuts and Moe's. He gave a presentation of the Peer-to-Peer Review System, and explained that the program is designed to promote professional growth through peer-driven feedback.

On Friday, March 14, WHHS celebrated students’ achievements in Advanced Placement classes. AP courses are very challenging and are taught at the college level. There are currently 19 AP classes offered at WHHS; students who pass their exams qualify to receive money set aside for this purpose.
AP scores are reported as 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. SCORES of 3, 4 or 5 are passing scores and students receive college credit for passing those classes.
WHHS received the AP Computer Science FEMALE DIVERSITY AWARD and the AP SCHOOL HONOR ROLL AWARD.
$9000 was awarded to the 96 students who passed their AP tests last year, with a total of tests passed. Students receive $50 for every passing score.
Many students also received Certificates of Recognition for achieving: AP SCHOLAR, AP Scholar with Honor, AP Scholar with Distinction, AP Seminar and Research Certificate, and AP CAPSTONE DIPLOMA.
WHHS graduates Brent Hervey and Keith Edwards present Mrs. Sims, the WHHS library media director, with three copies of their collaborative book, Poems from the Other Side, to the library media center. We celebrate this achievement by White Hall graduates and encourage our students to check out this book from our Media Center!
Congratulations to White Hall High School senior, Isabella Moore. She is the recipient of the White Hall Chamber of Commerce Bridges Socia Award.
BARK Mentorship Program is being introduced at WHHS. It is a 9-week program for student success.
