The WHHS band’s backdrops for the Halftime show “Ancient Wonders” came in Friday. Both students and Mr. Willis were quite excited!


Mr Walton's Honors World History class moved outdoors to the courtyard for today's lesson.

WHHS Choir Members rehearse music for their All-Region Auditions during CAPS. There are 56 students auditioning over the next couple of weeks!



Mrs. Eggleton's AP English Language & Composition students played the game of Memory during RTI using Greek and Latin roots. Greek and Latin root words can help students decode word meanings and increase vocabulary understanding.





The WHHS Beta Club assembled a Chemo Care Kit, and President, Will Young, presented it to Coach Baldwin.



Mrs. Dixon's class were completing a unit covering the poem, Beowulf. As part of the unit, students drew depictions of the character, Grendel.


Arkansas Peace Week celebrated the third week of September, is a program of activities with a mission to educate and promote peacemaking in our society and raise awareness of organizations working to build peace in Arkansas. Congratulations to the WHHS Peace Week Essay finalists: 1st place: Alexandria Evans, 2nd place: Keira McKinney, 10th-grade Finalist: Angel Velazquez, and 11th-grade finalist:
Riley Cantrell.

SENIORS: IF you ordered a Senior t-shirt, you may pick it up in the lobby of the Fine Arts Center during lunch on Thursday.

Today marks the 22nd anniversary of the terrorist attack on America. The Twin Towers in New York City and the Pentagon were targeted. There also was a failed attack on the White House. Mrs. Young spoke to students today about her experience witnessing the attack.
