Students in Mrs. Smith’s Exploring Business Applications class recently put their Business Dress for Success knowledge to the test with a mock online shopping activity. Their challenge was to purchase all the professional clothing items they would need for the workplace while staying within a set budget.

Through this activity, students learned that dressing professionally shows potential employers they are serious, prepared, and ready for the job. They also gained valuable experience in budgeting—making thoughtful spending decisions and understanding the importance of setting and sticking to a financial plan.

How can I view my student’s ATLAS results?

Families can view ATLAS score reports through the Parent Portal. Once logged in, you’ll be able to see your student’s assessment results and check their progress throughout the year and from year to year. A short video tutorial is available to help you log in, along with a quick guide that explains how to read your student’s scores. Both can be found in the Learning and Assessment Center section of our website. If you need your Parent Portal access code, have trouble logging in, or have questions about reports, your student’s school counselor will be happy to help.

Students in Mrs. Ferris’s 2nd grade class at Hardin Elementary worked together to write about our recent snow days. As a class, they shared ideas about the weather, what they wore, the food they enjoyed, and the activities they did. Students then worked in small groups to choose the ideas they felt were most important and write one sentence. When all groups finish, their sentences will be combined to create a class story.
