ELL Family Night

Thank you for your patience this morning as we work to ensure the safety of our students. Bus routes will now resume, and pickups will be delayed approximately 40 minutes from your normal pickup time. Classes will begin at the normal time and students who arrive late will be excused and still have the opportunity to eat breakfast before reporting to class. Contact your building principal with any questions or concerns.

Students in Mrs. Smith’s Exploring Business Applications class recently put their Business Dress for Success knowledge to the test with a mock online shopping activity. Their challenge was to purchase all the professional clothing items they would need for the workplace while staying within a set budget.

Through this activity, students learned that dressing professionally shows potential employers they are serious, prepared, and ready for the job. They also gained valuable experience in budgeting—making thoughtful spending decisions and understanding the importance of setting and sticking to a financial plan.

On Wednesday, October 15, WHMS FBLA attended the District 3 Fall Leadership Conference held at the Grand Prairie Event Center in Stuttgart. 54 members attended the event — the largest group there! Officers were installed and given a medal, members were inducted, and WHMS FBLA was recognized for its Community Service projects during the 24-25 school year. Members learned more about the Walk to End Alzheimer's and the Alzheimer's Association and enjoyed a performance by Mike Bliss, Branson magician. Mrs. Smith, adviser, would like to say thank you to the 8 amazing parents/family members that helped as chaperones for the day — we couldn't have done it without you! #arfbla3 #arfbla
