Ms. Stuart’s class at Hardin had a hands-on day of learning! Students practiced their multiplication skills by rolling dice to create and solve math problems which turned practice into a fun game. Later, they explored science by using flashlights to compare how sunlight reaches different planets, discovering how distance from the sun affects brightness.

All-Star Staff Jennifer Oldner first grade teacher
We’re thrilled to recognize Jennifer Oldner as our very first All-Star Staff member! Jennifer is celebrating her 17th year teaching 1st Grade, and her passion for education shines in everything she does. She brings energy, heart, and dedication to her classroom every single day. Her colleagues had so many kind words to share: 🗣️ “Mrs. Oldner is an excellent teacher who truly cares about her students.” 🗣️ “She works hard to reach every student and help them learn.” 🗣️ “She gives it her best EVERY day and keeps showing up with a positive attitude.” 🗣️ “She has already gone above and beyond this year — and it's only the beginning!” Outside of school, Jennifer is a proud wife and mom to two sons, Dalton and Paxton. Her home is always full of love — and animals! She has two adorable Mini Australian Shepherds, Remi and Rubi, and 16 chickens to keep things lively. Jennifer says, "I love teaching and spending time with my family!" We’re so lucky to have her as part of our team!

Who needs a clock when you have the sun? Check out these 5th graders in Ms. Stuart’s class at Hardin Elementary! They built shadow clocks to tell time using the sun, then took it a step further with flashlights to explore how the sun rises and sets during August. They can even adjust their clocks for each month!
