If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your campus principal. Additionally, if you need more information about ATLAS testing, the Parent Portal, learning targets, or how you can help at home, visit our Learning and Assessment Center. Congratulations to the Stock Market Game team from Taylor Elementary School for earning 1st place in the region at the elementary level. Out of 2,900 teams, only 25 were recognized at a luncheon held at the Clinton Presidential Library. The team members include John Thomas M., Mia R., Ayman R., and Lexis K. The team is sponsored by Marybeth Passmore, GATE Coordinator.
When asked about investing, these financial savvy 4th graders shared the following insights:
Advice for adults interested in the stock market: “Buy bitcoin.”
Best stock and why: Google, because it “makes money the quickest.”
If given $1,000 to invest in one place: Lululemon.
We are proud of these students for their hard work and commitment to learning about investing!

At Taylor Elementary, Mrs. Hayslip’s Homeroom is working hard and having fun! with a Beat the Timer challenge. Students are racing the clock to sort R-Controlled words (ar; air/are; or/ore/our) into the correct syllables. After two rounds, the timer gets even shorter, 5 seconds less each time, keeping everyone on their toes!
