The WHITE HALL SCHOOL DISTRICT will be participating in the National School Lunch Program in accordance with Federal Guidelines . Households may be eligible for free or reduced price meals as well as additional benefits.

Applications

To apply for free or reduced-price meals, families need to fill out and return the application. Applications won’t be considered complete unless all the required information is included, as explained in the instructions. You can submit an application at any time during the school year if your situation changes—especially if a loss of income brings your household income within the eligibility limits during that time.

It's easy to apply for meal assistance! Although online applications are preferred, paper applications will be sent home with your student during the first week of school. The online application can be found at www.myschoolapps.com.

  • Households that participate in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) may be eligible for free or reduced price meals. These households may submit an application with abbreviated information as described in the application instructions.

  • All applications are subject to verification. Parents or guardians dissatisfied with the ruling of the determining official may wish to discuss the decision with the determining official on an informal basis. Parents wishing to make a formal appeal for a hearing on the decision may make a request to: Gary Williams at 870-247-2196.

  • Children certified as foster, migrant, homeless or runaway by the district are categorically eligible for free meals. If you have questions, please contact Patsy Garner, Child Nutrition Director at 870-247-2171.

  • Households who are notified of their eligibility but who do not want their children to receive free meals must contact the White Hall School District Child Nutrition Department 870-247-2171.
