3rd grade students at Moody are hard at work in reading with Mrs. Sullivan. They are practicing sentence word order by arranging words to form complete sentences, then recording them on paper. This activity helps show their understanding of what they have read.

Mr. Hartley's and Mrs. Thompson's Physical Science students put Newton’s Laws of Motion to the test with a fun “Punkin Chunkin” lab! Using homemade catapults, they experimented with force and motion to see who could land their pumpkin closest to the target.

Ms. Hegwood’s 3rd grade class at Taylor is exploring inherited traits this week! Students worked in groups to compare different fruits and discover which traits they share; a fun, hands-on way to learn how characteristics are passed down in nature.

Please join us for a very important Third Grade Information Night on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 6:00 PM. Meetings will be held in the cafeteria of your child's elementary school.

Making reading fun! Students in Mrs. Gorman's class at Taylor practiced their reading fluency. They used their book bags and whisper phones to practice reading independently. Students were so excited to hear themselves reading!

It’s National School Lunch Week! This year’s theme, “Taste the World: Your School Lunch Passport,” invites students to explore new flavors and cultures right in our cafeteria. From familiar favorites to global dishes, it’s a week to celebrate connection, curiosity, and the joy of trying something new!

Ms. Ritchie’s first graders are hard at work building short /e/ words, both real and nonsense, using their Really Great Reading kits! Hands-on activities like this help students strengthen their phonics skills while having fun with word building.

White Hall School District will be closed for Fall Break on Monday, October 13 and Tuesday, October 14. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend!

Mrs. Oldner's 1st graders at Hardin love math! They are learning how to add to 20 using a number line.

Taylor Elementary students showed their creativity and school spirit by participating in the UAPB Homecoming Coloring Contest! In partnership with the Artx3 campus, UAPB invited K–12 students to join in the fun as part of their Homecoming festivities. We’re proud of our young artists for doing their best and celebrating through art!

Ms. Stuart’s class at Hardin had a hands-on day of learning! Students practiced their multiplication skills by rolling dice to create and solve math problems which turned practice into a fun game. Later, they explored science by using flashlights to compare how sunlight reaches different planets, discovering how distance from the sun affects brightness.

Mrs. Bishop’s class at Hardin Elementary is practicing their x9 fact fluency by playing a bump game with a partner. Students roll two dice, add them together, and multiply the sum by 9. They place a game piece on the product’s spot, but a partner can bump them off if they roll the same product. The first person with all their pieces on the board is the winner!

It’s Feel-Good Friday, where simple moments make a big impact.
Each Friday, we want to highlight the positive connections between teachers and students. These moments may not always take place in the classroom, but they’re just as important. They remind us that while academics are at the heart of what we do, true learning also grows through relationships, belonging, and building a strong Bulldog family.
This week, Mrs. Drye, 4th grade teacher at Taylor, ate with three of her Leaders of the Week and some of their friends during the 'Mix It Up' lunch and Moody student Sloane cashed in her dojo points for a pass to eat lunch with her teacher, Mrs. Garner, and said it was "the best day of her life!"

Today, our White Hall Middle School FCCLA chapter celebrates the heart of our school — our amazing custodians! Thank you for keeping our classrooms, hallways, and community spaces clean, safe, and welcoming every single day. Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for all you do!

Mrs. Andi Lunsford’s 5th grade science class at Moody Elementary welcomed the Game and Fish Stream Team for a hands-on lesson in water ecology. Students collected pond samples and tested them for nitrates, pH, and oxygen levels bringing real-world science right into the classroom!

At Moody, Mrs. Blue’s science classes are bringing learning to life! One group is studying animals and their habits, even feeding a turtle in its natural habitat, while another is exploring how to tell time using sundials. Hands-on lessons make science exciting and memorable!
