Alicia Mizell, a third-grade literacy teacher at Hardin Elementary, was chosen as the 2021-2022 Elementary Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Mizell has been an educator for fifteen years. She has spent the last thirteen years in the White Hall School District. In addition to teaching at Hardin, she has taught second and third grade at Moody Elementary.
Mrs. Mizell earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a master's degree in educational leadership from Arkansas State University. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Early Childhood and completed the LEADS Teacher program in December 2021. Her passion is seeing children grow not only academically but also as individuals. Congratulations, Mrs. Mizell!!
