WH News

This afternoon, each White Hall School District campus provided a representative to attend a zoom session provided by the Arkansas Department of Education. The session shared information regarding the Test to Stay Program. The Test to Stay Program allows students and staff to remain on-site if they are in close contact with a positive COVID-19 individual while at school. Instead of following the standard quarantine policy, students and staff that opt-in to the program will receive a COVID-19 test. Our trained school nurses will administer the test. The individual will test for each school day that they would be in quarantine. As long as the individual continues to be asymptomatic and test negative, they will be allowed to stay on campus. If a student or staff member chooses not to participate in the Test to Stay Program, they will follow the standard quarantine policy. This program is strictly voluntary. Parents that opt-in to the program will be notified before a student is given a COVID-19 test. No student will be allowed to participate in the program without written parental consent. Consent forms will be provided in the near future for the family to choose to opt-in to the Program.
