White Hall celebrated several full-circle moments Friday night when former student Daniela Dehaghani, now a reporter with KATV Channel 7, returned to cover the Bulldog football game along with several feature stories at the high school.

One of those stories focused on new teachers. Anna Claire Pullman and Anna Helms, both White Hall graduates who have come back to teach after earning their college degrees were interviewed. Pullman shared, “I was accepted with open arms. Teachers who helped guide me through all of my years are now my colleagues.” Helms added, “I just wanted to come home to my people.” This year, the district is especially proud to welcome back a number of alumni who are now serving the next generation of White Hall students.

Mental health was also in the spotlight. Students showed their support for Mental Health Awareness Month by wearing green, and fans received a free t-shirt when entering the game. Katie James, one of White Hall School District's Teachers of the Year, facilitates the NAMI club. She worked alongside her students to serve hot dogs, hamburgers, and games to fans at the NAMI tailgate party. Mrs. Lori White was also interviewed by KATV; she helped launch the month with suicide awareness training for students and staff, was also interviewed for the segment.

The Bulldogs may not have won on the field, but the night was filled with pride, community, and meaningful conversations that reached far beyond the scoreboard.
