Illness and injury
I am available to students who become ill or are injured during school hours. You will be notified when the situation warrants, otherwise the child will be evaluated, treated and returned to class.
Taylor Elementary's policy regarding illness is to call a parent to pick up children who have a fever, diarrhea, vomiting, possible communicable (contagious) disease or children who continue to feel ill after a short rest. Likewise, children exhibiting any of these symptoms should not be sent to school. School policy also states that children should be free of fever, vomiting and diarrhea (without the aid of medication) for 24 hours before being readmitted to class.
Diagnosed communicable diseases (chickenpox, pink eye, mononucleosis, for example) should be reported to the nurse's office.
Every reasonable attempt will be made to ensure that our web pages are educationally sound and do not contain links to any questionable material or anything that can be deemed in violation of the White Hall School District policies and procedures.
