Teaching good personal hygiene is another responsibility of the school nurse, but this important lesson begins at home. Students are expected to come to school well groomed (hair combed, teeth brushed, clean clothes, etc.) and to reinforce this, a "Growth and Development" class is held for boys and girls in the 5th grade. The program is presented to each gender separately. A notice will be sent home prior to the program.
