My Home Page - Transitions I-IV & Math IV
Math assignments are from a documented and researched based program that has outstanding reviews, Elements of Basic Algebra B, by Dr. Nancy Nichols, which is from the Firelight Series. We also utilize Accelerated Math, worksheets, Skills Tutor, classroom set of books and other researched-based materials.
Students are allowed to check out a math book if they are absent and have an assignment to complete. This format is used because we have a classroom set of books. Please contact me if you would like to check out a book for an extended period of time.
Transitions class is a class that educates the students on making the transition from High School to having a successful life in the community. We study the ways to complete job applications, cooking, housekeeping, budgeting, and many more life skills. The class is designed for 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders who are planning to live independently in our community. We complete numerous inventories to assist in choosing employment or training that best meets the needs of the students. College and workforce applications are utilized and completed on an individual basis. For more information, please contact me at (870)247-3255 (Ext 133) or at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are proud of our program and would love to share it with you!
