ART STUDENTS: Our District Art Show is less than a month away. It will be Tuesday, February 12 from 5:30 -7:30 p.m. at the White Hall Community Center. Please select 10 – 15 2-D works of art to showcase and as many 3-D works as you wish. To attach to the portable walls we are borrowing from the Delta Rivers Nature Center you will need the hook side of Velcro adhered to the back of the art work. Some of us are entering some of the art from this show into the Southeast Arkansas Art Show. Is there anyone willing to take those to Monticello? Please bring your art to the Community Center Monday or Tuesday after school. We will have to set up immediately after school to get ready for the art show at 5:30. Please be there as soon as you can. I will be there at 3 p.m. I’ll get two big cookie trays from Sam’s Club. If you would like to bring some sort of snack for our guests, that would be great. We ran out last year. Please promote the art show like you did last year! We had such a great turnout! Thanks for all your hard work!
There will be a Mu Alpha Theta Meeting on Thursday, 1/24 at 8:10 in Room 201, Mrs. Bridgforth’s room. All members should plan to attend.
Congratulations to the following students for their outstanding performance in the Poetry Out Loud Competition: Clara Lindsay, Phoebe Norrell, Gannon Wilkinson, Morgan Howell—2nd place, and Haylee Brooks—1st place. Haylee will represent White Hall High School in the upcoming state competition.
Students interested in AUDITIONING FOR THE SPRING PLAY, “The Wizard of Wonderland” will need to meet in Room 112 (Mrs. Edwards) on Thursday, January 17 or Friday, January 18 immediately after school. Students should have prepared and memorized a monologue in order to audition. There are several larger speaking roles as well as small character roles that will only say a few lines. The cast can be as large as 20. If you are interested, please come audition. See Mrs. Edwards if you have any questions or conflicts with the audition times.
If you are interested in joining the football team, please see Coach Vaughn during lunch.
