White Hall School District Maintenance - Cedric Hawkins, Assistant Superintendent
The goal of the district's maintenance and operation department is to service and maintain all building and grounds of the school district in a safe and professional manner and to assist the schools in creating a safe and pleasant learning environment for all students and staff.
The maintenance supervisor plans, organizes, and directs all summer work. At White Hall, summer means new beginnings. It is the time of year to ready the buildings for the new school year. The carpet cleaners steam clean the carpets "making them come alive again," the painters paint surfaces in need of painting, the summer cleaning crew scrubs the walls, as well as, the chairs and desks in each room. Finally, the maintenance and grounds crew completes the work orders received from each building and maintains the landscaping at each school campus.
Preventative maintenance is practiced throughout the school year which contributes to the overall appearance of the district.
District maintenance personnel consists of Van Porter, Steve Quarles, Charles Lowery, Martin Morales and electrician, Shannon Frier.
