Beginning the week of April 20th, there will be an addition to the AMI Assignments. The new session is called The Counselor's Corner. Each week a lesson from the school counselors will be posted as a Saturday Lesson. The assignment will be designed to motivate and inspire students to understand and deal with the current quarantine, the mandatory home-school policy, and changes to our daily living. We hope these lessons help students become more productive and that students may somehow discover the good and positive aspects of overcoming adversity. We all want our children to learn that sometimes they can't change the bad things that happen...but they CAN strive to overcome and deal with bad situations in a way that teaches them to learn from the past and prepare for the future. These lessons may be completed at any time and are not restricted to Saturday only. We encourage parents and students to open the lessons early in the week and determine how they can best complete the assignment.

Parents! We are working very hard to simplify the process to access and utilize the White Hall Virtual School.
This weekend, at some point before Monday morning, April 6th at 8:00 AM, we wil post links for tutorial videos on our homepage that will teach you and your child how to access student lessons.
Please be patient, we thank you for support, and most of all STAY IN CONTACT WITH YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER via REMIND.
Our school office hours are Monday through Thursday 8 AM to 3:30 PM. You should be able to contact your teacher using REMIND, email, text, or phone. Contact the school if you can not communicate with your child's teacher. (870) 247-4054.

Your student/s will receive their White Hall School District student GSuite accounts today. This is a Google account with school district settings. The student will keep the same WHSD GSuite account from kindergarten through 12th grade. If your child changes school districts, they will lose access to the WHSD GSuite account. The student account is not private. It is school owned. It is for school work and nothing private. Teachers and principals may access student accounts, just like they can look in their desks and lockers.
The WHSD GSuite account will allow your child/children to access material online from a computer, laptop,or smartphone from WHSD teachers and staff.
Your child/children will not need a paper packet of virtual school materials if they are able to access the K-5 Virtual School either on a computer, laptop, or any smartphone. If you do not have access to a computer, laptop, or smartphone or no access to a data plan or wifi, paper packets of Virtual School may be picked up from your child/children’s school on Mondays.
Students who can access the White Hall School District K-5 Virtual School will click on a link to a Google Slideshow. When the student accesses the worksheet for the day on the slideshow, the answers to the worksheet may be written on any plain piece of paper. The paper of answers will need a clear heading:
Student First and Last Name
Date on the slideshow
Teacher (grades 3-5: teacher that gives the grade for that subject)
The parent may take a picture of the paper and send it through the Remind app to the teacher. (grades 3-5 to the teacher who gives a grade for that subject)
If you do not have internet access in your home please contact our school office at 247-4054 during regular office hours:
Monday thru Thursday 8:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
