Question: School has been in session for one nine weeks and mornings are a hassle. How can I avoid this morning unpleasantness? Hassles on school mornings are experienced by millions of households, so you have plenty of good company. Step one in ridding your home of these hassles is to decide which of the morning responsibilities belong though the children. When you have decided that a particular responsibility belongs to your child, you must let the child handle it in his own way without interference. The following are suggestions of responsibilities that belong to all children grades one to twelve: Get up in the morning by themselves (make sure they have a working alarm) Choose their own clothes and dress themselves Take care of personal hygiene needs Remember books, homework, lunch money, gym clothes, etc Make his/her own lunch if they take it TASSELTIME!
