2011-2012

The Library/Media Center is a spacious room for informal reading or class instruction.  All Hardin Elementary classes are scheduled to visit the library weekly. During this time, students check out and return books and are encouraged to move freely throughout the media center.  The Library Media Center is open daily 7:55-3:30.  Students may return and borrow books during their regular scheduled class time or at various times throughout the day with permission from their classroom teacher.

Library Policies

Students in Kindergarten will begin borrowing a book the second nine weeks of school. Kindergarten students will not take the book home but will keep it for one week in the classroom.

First Grade - Sixth Grade students may borrow one book and are allowed to take books home to keep for up to one week.

Students in grades 1-6 have the opportunity to visit the library daily to exchange books.

The library does not charge for overdue books. Parents will be notified if a book has not been returned to school after 2 weeks.

Damaged or lost books must be paid for before report cards will be released. Parents will be notified.

The library is open daily from 7:55-3:30. Parents, teachers, students, and visitors are always welcome.
