Where Safety Is Our Main Concern

The purpose of the Transportation Department of the White Hall Public Schools is to provide the safest, most efficient transportation possible for those students who are to be transported between their homes and schools.    This process is the responsibility of the entire community and requires the cooperation of all students, parents, school personnel, and citizens who drive on the streets in the presence of the school buses.

Bus transportation is provided for students who live more than 2 miles from their assigned schools or, in the case of' smaller children, where the density of traffic presents a safety hazard. School buses are viewed as an extension of the classroom. Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner, which will allow their safe transport to and from school. A schedule of bus routes is published at the beginning of the school year. The Director of Transportation coordinates the transportation program.
